Garmin® International announced new compatibility updates and features for Tacx® NEO 2T and 3M smart trainers. Tacx NEO smart trainers gain Zwift virtual shifting capability, will also receive new Race Mode and odometer features. These updates give cyclists even more ways to enjoy an immersive riding experience while using their premium indoor trainer.
New Zwift compatibility updates
Zwift Cog and Click
By using a Tacx NEO 2T or 3M paired with Zwift Cog and Click, cyclists can enjoy smooth, silent virtual shifting while training, racing or riding on Zwift.
- Zwift Click mounts to any location on any style of handlebars for wireless, virtual shifting in Zwift.
- Zwift Cog replaces the cassette on the Tacx NEO 2T or 3M and is compatible with almost any 8-12 speed bike.
- Built-in chain guard prevents chain drops for maintenance-free indoor riding.
- Integrated indexing on the Zwift Cog allows for optimal chain positioning, allowing for a near silent ride.
Available now on garmin.com, customers in the United States can purchase a NEO 2T or 3M bundled with the Zwift Cog and Click. Existing NEO 2T and 3M customers can also purchase a standalone Cog & Click pack on zwift.com.
Zwift Ride Smart Frame
The Tacx NEO 2T is now compatible with the Zwift Ride Smart Frame, giving cyclists an always-ready trainer setup with built-in handlebar controls and customizable virtual shifting while training and riding on Zwift.
Additional new features
Cyclists using a Tacx NEO 2T or 3M smart trainer can now use Race Mode1 to get an ultra-fast response to attacks and breakaways while virtually racing in compatible platforms. And when using the Tacx Training® App, riders can track their trainer mileage with the virtual odometer.
